Microsoft’s annual Build developer conference starts on May 21 in Seattle

On May 21, Microsoft's Build developer conference will get underway in Seattle, Washington. This is an in-person event.

The dates of Microsoft's yearly Build developers' conference are set for May 21–23. It will be hosted in Seattle, Washington, as usual, and it will provide us with the most recent information on Windows, Co-pilot, and AI.

Microsoft has not yet released a comprehensive agenda for the conference, but the portal already encourages visitors to register to get updates on the opening of registration. Build not only focuses on tools for developers who make significant contributions to Microsoft's key platforms, but it also establishes the company's general goals for the upcoming year.

Microsoft announced last year at its Build conference how artificial intelligence is being incorporated into Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and other key apps and services. At this year's Build conference, we anticipate learning more about Co-pilot, AI, and even new Surface hardware.

Microsoft has been investing in generative artificial intelligence (GAI) for the past several years. OpenAI is a technology firm, and its ChatGPT AI chatbot can create natural-sounding language in response to a brief written instruction. Led by Sam Altman, the massive Redmond corporation is also the largest investor in OpenAI.

CEO Satya Nadella is leading Microsoft in emphasizing to investors the significance of AI to the company's identity. The corporation has been promoting the use of AI by contacting both large and small businesses in recent months. Since November of last year, Microsoft has made Copilot for Microsoft 365 available to major enterprises. Since December, professors and staff at educational institutions have also been able to utilize Copilot, which makes use of OpenAI's extensive language models. Copilot is available to individuals for free at and via the Bing search engine.

Microsoft is vying with Google, Nvidia, and Amazon for the top spot in the generative AI race. The startup wants to incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) into everything, including online search, operating systems, cloud services, and productivity applications. Apple lost its position as the most valuable publicly listed business to Microsoft lately.

Build isn’t the only developer conference that will take place in the next few months. Apple and Google, too, will host significant developer conferences close to their campuses in California. Google I/O typically takes place in May each year, and Apple’s annual developer conference, WWDC, starts in the first week of June. However, both Google and Apple are yet to announce schedules for their upcoming developer conferences.
